Here is a genuinely strange fact about internet fame: in March 2020, Kristen Hancher was the sixth most-followed person on TikTok — ahead of nearly every celebrity on Earth — and today she does not have a Wikipedia page. Search her name and what fills the vacuum is bio-mill sludge: invented net worths, contradictory dates, "facts" laundered from one aggregator to the next with no source in sight.

Before any of it: Milton, Ontario
The single best source on pre-fame Kristen Hancher is not an influencer profile at all — it's her hometown paper. Around 2013, the Milton Canadian Champion covered a Grade 8 student who had just undergone major spinal-fusion surgery for scoliosis, spent two and a half weeks in the hospital, and graduated via FaceTime from her hospital bed while receiving an Award of Excellence in Art and Drama [5]. That student was a 14-year-old Hancher — until then a gymnast and competitive dancer [5]. Her father later described the surgery's severity in his own words: doctors had to deflate one of her lungs to reach a spine "so bent" it needed steel rods screwed to it [1].

The musical.ly ascent
Hancher started broadcasting on YouNow before moving to musical.ly [1], the lip-sync app that would become TikTok, where she posted relentlessly and grew into one of the platform's defining creators. March 2020: the peak, and the trapdoor
Business Insider's Kat Tenbarge captured both in a single dateline. On March 12, 2020, Hancher had 23.4 million TikTok followers — the sixth most-followed account on the platform — plus 5.8 million on Instagram and over a million YouTube subscribers [4]. She was also, at that exact moment, stuck in Canada: her US work visa had expired, stranding her away from her Los Angeles life, her friends, her wardrobe, and her dog [4]. Her own words, from an Instagram Live: "more stressed out than I've ever been in my entire fucking life" [4].
The ban, and the rebuild
The number that defined her — those tens of millions of TikTok followers — is gone. As Hancher tells it in her January 2022 No Jumper interview, her original account, then around 26 million followers, was permanently banned over mentions of her OnlyFans, and she was forced to rebuild from zero on a new handle [6]. The rebuild runs through OnlyFans itself, a move she discusses at length and on the record in the same interview [6] — she narrates the whole arc, from TikTok's biggest tier to adult-creator economics, with unusual candor.
What we're deliberately not telling you
This is the part a bio mill would never include. Several widely repeated "facts" about Hancher fail sourcing, and we'd rather flag them than launder them:
- Her OnlyFans start date. Published and self-reported accounts give at least four different dates spanning late 2019 to spring 2021. We don't state one, because the honest answer is: contested.
- Her net worth. Circulating figures range from $400K to $4M — a 10x spread across aggregator sites citing each other. No credible primary source exists. Any bio giving you a confident number is making it up.
- Assorted relationship lore. Aggregator claims about her dating history contradict her own detailed on-the-record accounts. Her words take precedence; the recycled versions don't appear here.
